Discover foreign language menus the way a local would describe them, and leave your translation apps at home
The Problem
Millions of travelers eat at restaurants abroad with menus they cannot read. Translation apps convert the words but don't help you discover what's really on the menu and order with confidence.
Lost in translation
Specialty and regional dishes often yield strange or meaningless translations, turning the most exciting items on the menu into the most confusing ones.
No real context
Without context for ingredients, taste, and what makes a dish worth trying, your order is guesswork.
No app for that
There is no existing app that guides a traveler from an unreadable foreign menu to a confident, placed order.

The Menular Story
Menular comes from menu + vernacular, the local language of food and culture. The best way to discover what's on a menu is to hear it the way a local would describe it. That idea lies at the heart of Menular.
I'm Claudio, and my vision for Menular began during an extended trip to China where I struggled to order confidently in local restaurants. I speak Mandarin well enough to hold a conversation, but still couldn't experience the true depth of local cuisine in the places I visited. Menular exists to change that, for travelers everywhere!
